A poem about figuring out who I am.

I AM WHAT I AM

I am a mystic

I am a blinded by my own ego

I am desperate for love

I am love incarnate

I am here

I am not real

I am tender

I am rage

I am all of the love I’ve ever given

I am all the fear that I’ve repressed

I AM WHAT I AM

I contain earth and blood and sex and fear and love

I am here to reawaken joyful and creative sexuality

I am here to taste the deepest things

To consume you

I will give anything to be loved by you

I love myself for wanting love so badly

I AM WHAT I AM

I am alive with the souls of men who cried her name before dying in battle

I am alive with the tears of women who whisper her name while a child died

I am alive with the yearning for her

Something we all feel

A hunger for something we need but can’t imagine

Unconditional love from a mother

Unconditional desire from a lover

A desperate cry to be seen, to be held, to be accepted

Just as we are

I AM WHAT I AM

I have a piece of her inside me

A seed that flowers and fruits

Dripping off my skin

Flowing through my blood

Rolling from my pussy

Into your mouth

Open, hungry and blind as a newborn

I AM WHAT I AM

Thank you for reading and happy Friday! Don‘t forget that I love you,
